SIGCHI-sponsored conferences are published by the ACM and archived in the ACM Digital Library.
The way that ACM archives publications is changing, which means the author templates are also changing. From Spring 2019, publications will be archived in the XML based JATS/BITs format so that our content can be more flexible and resilient for the future. PDFs will no longer be the primary artefact of publications, but will stand alongside other formats such as ePub and HTML. The Blue Diamond Newsletter discusses these changes in detail.
Conferences can opt-in to the new template and publications workflow so that their proceedings will be produced with accessible HTML formats.
Conferences opting out to the new template and publications workflow should use the available interim templates.
